Day 1: What you should do before setting your goals?
So, ok. Why not just write them down on a notebook and start to do them?.
NO!
First, follow my 7 steps to do before setting your goals. I highly recommend you to do them because you’ll level of motivation will increase a ton.
You’ll have less to stress about and with so much more free time to work on your goals and you’ll be more focus on them.
- Clean your space: clean every area where you’re spending most of your time in. It could be your whole house, your bedroom or your office. Clean deeply, all the places you always forget to clean. And most important, after cleaned all the areas, keep it that way! Make a schedule to clean daily to keep it always like this.
- Do your laundry: wash all your clothes, because we need all your clothes clean for the next step.
- Declutter your wardrobe: If you can survive this step and the next one, you will handle any challenge.
• Take all your clothes out and place them on the floor or over the bed.
• And in a notebook write this guiding questions to help you declutter successfully:
• Does this fits you?
• Do you feel comfortable wearing it?
• Does this match with anything in your wardrobe?
• Does this goes with your personal style?
• How often do you wear it?
• Separate the clothes into categories (Jumper – Coats – Jackets etc, Dresses, Playsuits, T-shirts -Blouses, Skirts, Shorts, Pants, Pajamas, Bras – Underwear, Swimmers, Socks, Shoes, Bags, Clutches and purses, Jewellery – Sunglasses and Watches etc)
• Then start decluttering saying to yourself out loud the guiding questions.
• Put the NO pile into bags and you can sell or donate them.
• And, the YES pile place it back on your closet but in a organized way: by color, category, size, etc.
- Declutter your drawers: or every space where you storage things. Take all the things out and make yourself questions out loud like: How often do I use this? Do I really need it? In case of duplicates: Do I need them all? Does it has a meaning for me? If YES, make yourself the questions again. If you answer NO, it’s time to let go. Take a picture of the thing you kept for years because it had a sentimental value, but now you don’t use it anymore, and you don’t even see it. It’s just taking more place in your room. Give thanks for the memories you shared with it and let go.
- Declutter your phone & computer: Get rid of the apps that distracts you everyday, delete the photos or documents you don’t need anymore. Delete the apps that have a lot of data and download them again to free storage space. On your computer, organize your files in folders, delete documents you don’t need anymore, delete apps that distracts you, change your backgrounds, etc.
- Finish all your left work: Before you start a new project, you need to finish the one you were working on and never completed. Achieving your goals can requiere a lot of time. So, we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed about the amount of work you put on yourself. One step at a time. First, finish all the things you were working on and then start your new GOALS project.
- Spa session: After all the hard work of cleaning, decluttering and working. It’s YOU TIME. Time to take care of you. Do the things you wanted but never had time before like: a makeover (changing your hair color, hair cut), mani/pedi, massage, shave your beard or your legs. Anything that will make you feel better and ready to achieve your goals.
And that’s all for the day. You have completed the tasks for the day. I really enjoyed it, I looooooove to declutter and organize stuff. Well, you probably already now this. Haha. Hope you enjoyed it too and now treat yourself with the step 7 or with a movie, series, food, coffee or just sleep for tomorrow’s challenge.
FREEBIE OF THE DAY: 8va Avenida’s 2017 Calendar.
I created this minimal calendar because it matches the style I want for the year, clean & simple. On every month there’s a different motivational quote. And, you can choose the english or the spanish version. Also, I created another design with a pop of watercolor, so now which one do you want?
